Solar Panel Charger Controller

Solar panel charge controllers are used to maintain the battery charge and to prevent the battery from being overcharged which over time will damage the battery. If the panels output current is one percent or less than the current capacity of the battery a charge controller is not required. An example would be if a 100 amp hour battery is being charged then the panel output should be no more than one amp. Below you will find several charge controllers that for the money it would be hard to build one yourself and save any money. If you would like to build your own charge controller then google solar charger circuits, or solar charger schematics and you will find hundreds of circuits and schematics on chargers.
